Maharashtra Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on took a swipe at the BJP’s double standards claiming that “the drugs would become sugar powder if Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan joined the saffron party.”
Referring the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case, in which Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is an accused, the senior Maharashtra politician said Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and is currently in judicial custody after his bail plea was rejected.
Instead of probing the case of 3,000 kg heroin seized at Mundra Port in Gujarat, the NCB was hounding Shah Rukh Khan, the senior NCP leader alleged.
“Drugs will become sugar powder if Shah Rukh Khan joins the BJP,” Bhujbal quipped while addressing a public event in the state’s Beed district.
Aryan Khan (23) is lodged in the Arthur Road jail in central Mumbai after an NDPS court rejected the bail pleas of his friend Arbaaz Merchant (26) and fashion model Munmun Dhamecha (28).
