Ex-serviceman Shivanand Adake from Nanagundikop village in Bailhongal taluk attacked on his wife Jayamala on the premises of Court at Bailhongal on Wednesday.

Jayamala has appealed divorce petition at Bailhongal court and had arrived to attend the court hearing. She was attacked by her husband Shivanand with a iron made weapon after she came out from the court hall. She was attacked on head, hands and on legs and was rushed to the hospital, Shivanand has surrendered to police.

Jayamala who who has got separated from Shivanand was staying with her daughter at Varur near Hubballi. The Bailhongal police have registered a case.
