Taking up to their various demands including action against the sowing seeds manufacturing company for selling the poor quality seeds, the farmers under the banners of various farmers’ Kannada and Dalit organisations, blocked the traffic near Nesaragi on Belagavi-Bagalkot road on Monday.

Farmers said the rate of Soyabin must be raised to Rs 10,000 per quantle, action against Taki company for selling the poor quality sowing seeds of carate, reduce the prices of essential commodities, take back the three bills where are against the farming community.

They alleged that Taki Seed Company must be given compensation of Rs 80,000 per acre for causing loss to the farmers by issuing sub-standard carate seeds.

Farmers who addressed the protesters said everyone in the nation having right to protest and ask when feel injustice. Government by passing the farm bills has proposed to privatise the farm sector for the benefit of a few for which farmers should not allow.
