For the first time in the state through the train the Maize is being exported from Bagalkot to Bangladesh. The deity to the 42 compartments that are carrying 2500 ton Maize was performed on Thursday.

The deity to the goods train was performed at the Bagalkot Railway Station. The MLA Veranna Charantimath and the traders of the town were present by the time. The trader Athani and Nagaral Groups has collected 2500 ton maize from the famers of Bagalkot, Gadag, Dharwad, Belagavi, and Vijaypur on the price of 1400-1450 per quintal. The bags that were carried through the Lorries were loaded into 42 compartments.
