Former MLA Feroz Sait has expressed confidence of his party holding power on Belagavi City Corporation as people of the city assessed the developmental works done when Kannada, Urdu and pto- Karnataka Marathis ruled the corporation for ten years.

Speaking to news persons while campaigning in Belagavi north constituency, Sait represented Belagavi north for last two terms said Congress was seeking vote not on any issue except on developments. Over the contest of AIMAM party which headed by Hyderabad MP Assaduddin Owaisi, in the corporation election, he said such practice would not work here the people of West Bengal rejected such tactic in the recent election. People of Belagavi are well aware and vote only to the development.
