Former Corporator of Belagavi City Corporation, Netaji alias Balu Appaji Managutkar died due to cardiac arrest at his house at around 1am on Friday.

The last rites of Balu held at Shahapur crematorium on Friday afternoon where many former and current corporators participated.

Represented the pro-Maharashtrian organisation Maharashtra Ekhikaran Samiti, Balu Managutkar was active in social work when he was corporator during the last decade of the past century and the first century of the current century.

Gave more importance to his health, Managutkar was a body builder who was bestowed with “Belagav Shree” award in a body building competition.
