As failed to prove his allegations against “Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Company”, (NICE) a City Civil court imposed fine of Rs 2 crore to former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.Gowda who opposed the project of newly laying roads between Bengaluru and Mysuru, in an interview to a Kannada news channel, had tabled his views which were Defaming the image of the construction company. Gowda’s interview was aired with titled “Goudara Gharjanee” (Gowda’s Roar) on June 20, 2011.The NICE had filed a defamation case against him and Mallangouda Patil the judge of the court imposed the fine as he could not prove his allegations against the company.
