Fourth Graduation Ceremony (Online) at K.L.S. G.I.T.

Karnataka Law Society’s Gogte Institute of Technology (GIT), Belagavi witnessed one of its kind “Fourth Graduation Day” (Online) on Saturday, 10/10/2020.

Chief Guest Prof. Masato Murakami, President of Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan in his address said that, SIT has been associated with KLS GIT from 2018 and the association between KLS GIT Belagavi and SIT Tokyo Japan has the specific purpose of enhancing the competencies of students. SIT has accepted 16 GIT students for various technology projects and research work. Prof. Murakami narrated the importance of VUCA world which describes the situation of constant, unpredictable change that is now the norm in certain industries and areas of the business world. He also mentioned about the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and significance of training the students in the field of AI for sustainable society.

Prof. Sanjay Govind Dhande (Padma Shri awardee) President, Chairman, Board of Governors of National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai delivered the ‘Graduation Day’ speech and congratulated all graduates.  Prof. Anand S. Deshpande, Registrar, VTU Belagavi, speaking on the occasion highlighted the transformation of education system with changing time. Dr. Jayant K. Kittur, Principal KLS GIT presented the college report and highlighted the achievements of the academic year. He said, in total 1147 candidates are graduating this year including 935 UG and 212 PG candidates. The UG candidates consist of 871 B. E. and 64 B. Arch. Graduates. Where as in PG, 54 M.Tech, 52 MBA and 106 MCA candidates are graduating this year.

On this occasion, Shri Pradeep S. Sawkar, Chairman, Karnatak Law Society, appealed the graduating students to utilize learning opportunities to equip themselves to face post pandemic world with courage and confidence.  Shri. Anant Mandgi, President, Karnatak Law Society, in his presidential remarks mentioned to accept the changing situations with positive attitude and work hard to overcome any obstacle with a team work.

The 4th Graduation Day conducted online during the COVID19 pandemic was witnessed live on YouTube by graduating candidates, parents and others.
