As far as Belagavi district was concerned, the government has showed green-signal to go with 11-day ‘ Sarvajanik Ganeshosthava’ festival and left of deputy commissioners to decide over the days in their respective districts.

Belagavi South BJP MLA Abhay Patil who met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai at Bengaluru and appealed him to allow for 11 days instead 5 days celebration. Earlier, the
government allowed to install idols in public places for five days following COVID-19.

He said all the 35 councilors elected to Belagavi City Corporation will meet the chief minister at Bengaluru on Monday afternoon. Apart from the election to Belagavi civic body, Patil said he discussed about the development of Belagavi with the chief minister.
