Govt Spent rs.8 Crore for Dedication Ceremony of Suvarna Vidhan Soudha

The Karnataka government has spent rs. 8 crore to the dedication ceremony of the Suvarna Vidhan Soudha Belagavi which constructed at the cost of nearly about rs. 500 crore.

The then President of the Nation Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the soudha Oct 11, 2012. He was stayed at Circuit House at Belagavi for which the government purchased new furniture for Rs 36.60 lakh and Rs 31 lakh for updating the garden.

Nine Legislative Session were conducted at the soudha for which rs, 98.89 crore was spent.The details which RTI activist Bhimappa Gadad has obtained stated that each legislator was paid Rs 2,000 per day allowance, Rs 25 as car fare per kilometer to travel between Belagavi to Soudha. Whereas those legislators stayed at Hubballi-Dharwad were given cash allowance of Rs 5,000 per day. The 9th session was held for ten days from Dec 22, 2018.
