Huli Gram Panchayat Present Veerupaksha Torgal along with a few other members of the panchayat beat one Sangappa Gudugar of the village for complaining against him to the Zilla Panchayat CEO.

Suspected misappropriation of funds and corruption by President Torgal and the PDO of the panchayat Pskirawwa Hanasi in Employment Guarantee Scheme in Huli GP in Savadatti taluk had complained to Belagavi ZP CEO who instructed the Savadatti Taluk Panchayat CEO AD Sangangouda Handral to investigate the matter.

As inquiry against them was going on, President Torgal beat allegedly complainant Gudugar itself in the panchayat office on Monday. A few got video recorded the beating incident which circulated widely.
