Anyone just by the above pictures can imagine the hurdles being faced by the villagers without the lights. It isn’t any forest or the remote area but is the picture of the village situated between the Belagavi-Haliyal state highway.

Since last 5-6 months the villagers of the Beedi are facing hurdles as the street lights at the village have gone completely off. The villagers that pass by these dark streets face consecutive encounters with the insects including the snakes and some other animals. The officials that were about to perform the repair work self inspired have not even noticed the situation since 5-6 months.

The locals of the Harijan Colony though have contacted the officials and the development officers in regards but they haven’t faced towards the village. The villagers are now requesting the higher officials to consider the problems seriously and to take necessary actions soon possible
