As the rate of commercial gas cylinder rate was hiked by about Rs 265 per unit, the hotel food to be costly in Karnataka from Monday (Nov 8).

The Karnataka Hotel Owner’s Association has decided to hike the rate of the tiffin including tea, coffee by 10pc and meals from between 10pc to 20pc.

A few hotels have decided to hike the rate from Nov 15.
