A 12-year-old girl from Hubballi was killed on the spot and five others injured when the car they were travelling in rammed to a parked lorry near Solhapur cross, outskirt of Sankeshwar on Pune Bengaluru National Highway on Wednesday morning.

The deceased girl has been identified as
Priya Manoj Patil, 12, from Navanagar in Hubballi. The car was heading toward Nippani from Hubballi and the lorry was parked beside the road. Five others travelling in the car were injured in the mishap. The Sankeshwar police have registered a case.
