Hundreds of Kannada Activists Taken to Police Custody

Hundreds of activists of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike who were arriving to Belagavi from different parts of the state to protest before Suvarna Vidhan Soudha for not initiating strict action against MES were blocked at Hirebagewadi village and police taken them to the custody.

 

Those taken to custody were included organisation state president TA Narayangowda and dozens of women. There were tussle between police and the activists when taking into custody. Women police had tough time to get the women activists down from the police van who had climbed up to protest.

Speaking to news persons, Narayangowda said government not taking any strict action against the MES for which it riding on Kannadigas in Karnataka. Instead them, police arresting Kannada activists.
