The Rural Development, Panchayatraj and the Dist.Incharge Minister K S Eshwarappa paid visit to the Shimoga Airport and inspected the works under progress. After the visit of the airport he assured speedy completion of the airport with all the essential actions to be taken.
Speaking after the visit the Minister said the 1st phase work of 150 crore in the 220 crore reserved for the airport is going on in a perfect flow. The tender process of the office and other buildings has already been completed and soon the work will commence. He added as if everything goes as estimated then with the beginning of the 2021 the airport will be inaugurated.
He said the airport had been the longstanding dream of the villagers; the work that has been held up has picked up the pace with the CM releasing the sanctions.
