Belagavi : As expected, Jagadish Kavatagimath, a brother of Government Chief Whip at Legislative Council, Mahantesh Kavatagimath took back his candidature from the contest for the MLC election from Belagavi local bodies on Thursday.

He took his nomination papers back after the nomination papers of Mahantesh were accepted. He would have considered for the election if the nomination papers of Mahantesh were rejected for any reason
