With the election of yet one of its other members to Legislative Council, the Jarkiholi family has overtook Bellari’s Reddy family and created a new record.

Jarkiholi family was sharing equal numder of members to the Karnataka Legislative House with three each members from their respective families. Janardhan, Sudhakar and Rajashekhar Reddy were the members, while Ramesh, Balachandra and Satish were from Jarkiholi family representing the Legislative House. However, with the election of its younger brother Lakhan to the Upper House, Jarkiholi family created a new record with four members entering the Law Making House of the state.

Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda family too has a record with equal four members entry into the Vidhan Soudha, however, it has two bothers, wife and a son. Kumaraswamy, Revanna, Kumaraswamy’s wife Anita and now Revanna’s son Prajwal to the Legislative Council of the state.
