The Ministry of Law (Judiciary Dept) has appointed Justice Ravi Vijaykumar Malimath as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh. Justice Malimath is from Karnataka.The notification from Judicial department stated that Justice Malimath will assume charge on July 1 as the term of Justice Lingappa Narayanswamy who is also a Kannadiga will end on June 30.62 is the age for the retirement of Chief Justices of the High Courts of the nation.
