Giving boost to Congress and JD(S) allegation that BJP spent hundreds of crores of rupees for its ‘Operation Lotus’,
Kagawad BJP MLA Srimant Patil said he was offered a ‘Good Amount’ from BJP to join the party, however, rejected the offer and asked for a ‘Better Position’ in the government.
Speaking after inaugurating a development work at Ainapur village in Kagwad taluk he said he was told to ask for any size of amount to resign for his Congress legislatorship and join BJP.
Patil was one among the 17 legislators from Congress and JD(S) who resigned for their legislative membership and joined BJP. MLA Patil’s declaration expected to land BJP in trouble and would give sword to the Opposition to use in the Legislative Session to be commenced from Monday.
