Father Robert Rodrigues from Doddamanekeri village in Thirthahalli taluk of Shivamogga district has stuck in Afghanistan which is under the control of Taliban.

Rodrigues who wished to serve as Christian Missionary went to Afghanistan and started there a priesthood, since many year ago. He was running a church. He planned to shift back to India after the uncertainty at that country and could not after international airport was closed.

Though he told he was safe, his family here was worried. Rodrigues has planned to move to safer places until the airport was reopened.
