Former Chief Whip of the government in Legislative Council Mahantesh Kavatagimath and former Bailhongal BJP MLA Dr Vishwanath Patil have been tested positive for coronavirus.

Patil, a medical doctor by profession is in home isolation since three days while Kavatagimath whose test report given today ( Sunday) was tested positive.

Kavatagimath who returned from Bengaluru yesterday (Saturday) attended a private meeting of the party leaders at Minister Umesh Katti’s house at Shivabasava nagar here in the evening. As Kavatagimath tested positive, those attended the meeting and who were physically close to him must have to get testes the swab.
