The students of KLS Gogte Institute of Technology have won the National Security Hackathon ‘Manthan-2021’ jointly organized by “Ministry of Education Innovation cell” Government of India and Bureau of Police Research and Development.
Approximately 3000 teams had submitted their ideas across pan India and the top 115 teams were qualified for the grand finale round.
Sneha Patil, Sumedha Kulkarni, Rashmi Kadam, Kartik Nanneboina, Aashutosh Murthy and Sushant Patil had submitted the idea under the mentorship of Prof. Gajendra Deshpande, GIT, Belagavi, and Kalyan Prasad Data Scientist, Creative Crewz, Hyderabad
The team had worked on the problem statement “Analysis of Hinglish Text” where the task was to identify abusive content written in mixed language (combination of Hindi and English words) in social media posts and report the same to the authorities.
KLS GIT Governing Council chairman Shri Rajendra Belgaumkar, Management Members, Principal Dr. Jayant Kittur, and the entire staff congratulated the students for their achievement.
