On 19/09/2020 the North MLA of Belagavi Anil Benake visited the School No.5 of the town and distributed learning kits to the schools in the absence of the students. The kits were distributed to the principals of the flood affected schools with the coordination of Karnataka Govt., Karnataka State Teachers Welfare Fund and Karnataka State Students Development Fund.

Speaking by the time the Anil Benake said the kits are being distributed in the absence of the students, many schools have been affected by the flood last year and the learning materials have been damaged so the kits consisting of books, pens and other essentials are being distributed along with the school bags to the students. He assured as in the upcoming days the efforts will be made to develop the schools of the zone and he appealed the civilians to follow the instructions of the govt. to prevent themselves by the Covid-19.
