As opposing the BJP government for implementing the hidden agenda of RSS against Muslims and Christians in the state, noted Kannada progressive writer Kum. Veerabhadrappa has received a letter in which stated that 61 people including him and former Karnataka CMs Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy would be killed.

A letter posted from Shivamogga to Veerabhadrappa’s residence at Kottur in Ballary district, which is handwritten in Kannada in the name of ‘Sahishnu Hindu,’ stated that “61 writers including you, Siddaramaiah, Kumaraswamy are on the way to destroyed. Your death is near. It may approach in any kind. Be prepared for that. You anti nation intellectuals, be ready, be ready, inform your families to be prepared for your last rites.” The letter written in the both side of a white colour paper.

Providing information about the letter, Veerabhadrappa said ” I have received a life threatening letter posted to my residence from Bhadrawati in Shivamogga district. The letter has no address of the sender. You 61 authors, Kumaraswamy and Siddaramaiah have written letter to government for Hijab and Muslims and against Bhagwadgita. ”

Veerabhadrappa said police have told him of providing security.
