Jammu and Kashmir : Nissar Ahmed, a teacher in Middle School in Rajauri in allegedly beat two of his Hindu girl students for coming school with ‘Bindhis’ on their forehead.

As the incident gone viral in social media, Rajauri deputy commissioner suspended the teacher and instructed for the departmental inquiry.

The students beaten by teacher were from the Middle School run by Khudhurian Panchayat at Dramon.

Torturing, harassing mentally and physically and hurting the sentiments of minors would be punished under IPC section 323, 325, 352 and 506 and additionally the accused could be booked under Juvenile Justice Act 2000, section 23, which could be fined or imprisoned upto six months.
