West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has drafted a letter to PM Narendra Modi demanding the central government to declare Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthday on January 23rd as a national holiday.
Meanwhile, reacting to Banerjee’ demand, Netaji’s grandnephew Chandra Kumar Bose said that declaring the great freedom fighter’s birthday as a national holiday is not that important as the great freedom fighter always wanted to work for the country. The descendant of Netaji said January 23 should be observed as ‘Patriots Day’, or ‘Desh Prem Diwas’.
