In a bizarre incident, man hacked to death his wife on the busy public place near Kote Kere on Friday afternoon.

According to police Manzoor Nadaf from Devalapur village in Bailhongal taluk attacked his wife Heena with a knief on her stomach and neck for which she died on the spot.

34-years Manzoor Nadaf married to 21 year-old Heena Kausar four years ago and both were staying separately over marital reasons. Eight month ago, Heena had filed divorce petition with family court at Belagavi and was going back her home after attending a hearing today which was said to be adjourned to next date.

Manzoor met Heena on the road and after an argument he allegedly attacked her with knief. Police arrested Manzoor.
