A man from Minchanal Tanda in Vijayapur taluk brutally murdered his first wife’s son by strangulating his neck with mobile phone charger wire at his house on Friday.

Accused Vinod Chavan killed son Sumit with the inspiration of his second wife Savita Chavan and also made vain attempt to kill the elder son of his first wife Sampat. Sampat is survived and hospitalised.

The Vijayapur Rural police have registered a case. The cause for the crime yet to ascertained.
