Belagavi : An unidentified person tried to attack St Joseph Church Father Francis D’souza with the sword at the Church at Vaibhav nagar on Bauxite road near HINDALCO on Saturday evening.

The CC TV camera caputures showed that a person with sword in hand entered and wandered in the Church at around 3pm. Later he tried to enter an adjoined room and went back as a dog cameout from the room. Fr D’souza said the person tried to attack on him with the sword when he too went out from the room and he fled away.

Senior police officers visited the Church and searching for the person entered the Church with sword.
