An unknown person walking on busy Khade Bazar road with a revolver put into his waist was taken into custody and the weapon was recovered.

The video of a man made in-shirt and stuck in revolver to the waist was circulated in the social media for which police acted quickly and caught the person near hotel Aryan, recovered the weapon and took him to Khade Bazar police station.

The Election Commission had instructed people to handover the licensed weapons to the police following the election to Belagavi City Corporation. The cases of Violating Election Code of Conduct and Arms Act were filed against the man with sections 188,268 and IPC 30 and history of the person is being scanned. Weither the weapon was loaded with bullets or not was not known.
