Under the guidance of the SP Laxman Nimbargi and Add. SP Amarnath Reddy and under the in charge of Athani DSP V Girish and CPI Shankargowda Basangoudar a team led by PSI Kumar Hadakar and inclusive of the staff CHS Mayappa Dadamani, Annasab Irkar, K B Shirgur, S G Mannapur has undertaken an accuser named Kareppa Shripanna Ainapure resident of Kumbar Gutti, of Madabhavi and have detained 18 kg marijuana from him.

The accused has been arrested while he was trying to sell the marijuana grew in his own yard. 18 kg marijuana costing nearly 2,70,000 has been detained and a case under IPC Section 308/2020 Article 20 (a (1) (b (ii) (b) of the NDPS Act has been registered at Athani Police Station.

For the successful operation the officers involved have been awarded with the cash prize and a letter of commendation by the SP of Belagavi and the public appreciation in separate.
