MES Observes ‘Black Day’ to Protest Karnataka Rajosthava

Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti, the pro-Maharashtrians organisation held a token protest for including the Marathi speaking places in Karnataka. The organisation which observed ‘Black Day’ as part of Karnataka Rajosthava day on Monday said Belagavi was in Mumbai region earlier for which it should be merged in Maharashtra.

Addressing the pro-Maharashtrians at Maratha Mandir, Shubuam Shelke said the Marathas have a Constitutional rights to ask for the merger of Marathi speaking places in Karnataka into Maharashtra. He said Marathis would not afraid to the cases file against them for the protest.

Karnataka was trying to smash of the voice of Marathis, government attempted to prevent people coming to the protest meeting. Marathas would observe Karnataka Rajosthava day as ‘Black Day’ until the Marathi speaking places in Karnataka be merged in Maharashtra

Maharashtra was made injustice while reforming the states on language basis. Maharashtra has raised the matter in Supreme Court. Karnataka was doing injustice to Marathis for which Belagavi must be made an Union Territory.

He said Marathis neither against Karnataka nor Kannada language but asking for the Constitutional rights.
