Belagavi : Demanding the government to remove the Kannada flag afixed in front of City Corporation and also use Marathi language in government name boards, the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti ( MES) will hold a protest in front of the main administrative office of the City Corporation on Oct 18.

MES leader Deepak Dalavi said the Kannada flag that set up in front of the corporation was illegal, that must be removed else they must be allowed to set Bhagawa (saffron colour) flag atop the corporation building.

Marathi language must also be used at the government name boards. The government must use Three Language Policy in the district, he said.
