Seemed boosted with the unexpected votes it got in the last by-polls to Belagavi Lokasabha constituency, the pro-Maharashtrians organisation Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti is confident of holding the power on Belagavi City Corporation as it has said “Would Win 45+ Seats”.

At a meeting of the activists at Belagavi on Sunday, Aug 22, organisation leader Prakash Maragale said the organisation would see its previous glory as not only the Marathis but also other linguistics supporting. Despite had majority it had lost power on the corporation, he said the previous mistskes would have got corrected during the last by-polls to Loksabha.

Holding control of the city corporation would be the step to win the assembly election and the previous defeats have united all the organisation workers again who have decided to work unitedly, he said.

He said the national political parties would suffer the humiliate defeat in the election as all the Marathas have decided to show their power by voting in the election,.

Shubham Shelakhe unsuccessfully contested in the by-polls to Loksabha election said the organisation would also invite samiti sympathiser leaders from Maharashtra if the national parties invite their party leaders for campaign.
