The process of demolition of the old bus station and to construct the new bus station under the smart city project was initiated by the North MLA Anil Benake.

The bus station that comes under the limits of Belagavi Regents Board had become too old so the reconstruction of the bus station with the sanctions of 1 crore 86 lakh under the smart city project has been initiated on Tuesday.

Speaking by the time the MLA said for the facility of the rural locals the reconstruction has taken place. He added as the contractors should complete the work soon in a standard manner. He said the facilities like seating ticket counter and many others will be added to the bus station and the travelers are requested to take the benefits of those.
