The Anti Corruption Bureau at Belagavi detained Tahasildar of Mujarayi department at Belagavi Dasharath Nakul Jadhav and his relative Santosh Kadolkar Red-handed with the bribe amount which they received from a temple authority to release the sanctioned grant amount.

Government, under Aaradhana scheme, had sanctioned grant of Rs 4 lakh to Yakalamma Temple at Ramdurg to take up the repair work. Tahasildar Jadhav who was the signing authority of the cheque allegedly demanded 5% amount of the sanctioned money as bribe to issue the cheque.

One Subhash Godake from the Yakalamma temple had complained with the bureau and gave the demanded sum of bribe to Tahasildar Jadhav’s relative Santosh Kadolkar on Friday evening. Soon after received the bribe the officials nabbed him with the bribe amount.
