No Lockdown, No Change in Weekend Curfew

Pulling down curtains to the discussion about reimpose of Lockdown to curtail the third wave of the coronavirus, Karnataka Health Minister Dr Sudhakar clarified that there will be no lockdown, however, strict covid appropriate behavior must be introduced.

Speaking to news persons at Bengaluru on Friday, he said – though lockdown was the best solution to curb the coronavirus, it would not be implemented to avoid people, especially middle and poor class from suffering economically. The last two lockdown showed he worst people suffered.

He said getting vaccinated and following the covid norms were the best media to be safe. Don’t gather in crowd, things would be favourable if waited for about 2 months.

He said the second weekend two-day curfew starts tonight and it will be in force till the end of this month.

Quoting experts, he appealed people to be cautious as the virus is expected to be peak during the first week of February and decline in second and third week of February.
