No Threat of Floods to NK till July 15 : DCM

Deputy Chief Minister Govid Karjol said that there would be no threat of floods to north Karnataka as rains slackened in Maharashtra including in the catchment area of Koyana reservoir.Speaking to news persons here of Wednesday, he said water level at Krishna, Vedaganga and Doodhganga got receded for which there would be no threat of floods till July 15.Karnataka and Maharashtra have got an treaty of bartering water to water of 4 tmc feet every year, Maharashtra must inform the state before releasing water from Koyana reservoir to avoid floods in the state, he added.The DCM denied to comment on the financial corruption in Irrigation department, levelled by former CM Kumaraswamy.
