Belagavi : The rains lashed on Tuesday afternoon and evening created havoc in Belagavi as a person killed on the spot and about 20 two-wheelers damaged over falling of the trees.

A person riding a scooter was said to be killed on the spot when a tree fell on him near Harsha Showroom on Club road and two-wheelers parked near Hero Honda Showroom opposite to Civil Hospital were damaged over the fall of a huge tree.

Hundreds of trees across the city were uprooted due to rain and heavy wind causing petty damages to properties and injuring people.
