Belagavi : A person was killed on the spot and seven injured in the head on mishap between truck and a car on Pune Bengaluru national highway near Kanagala on Friday night.

The deceased and the injured were travelling in the car that was coming toward Belagavi from Pune in Maharashtra while the truck was toward Nippani from Belagavi.

Those in car were coming to Nool village near Sankeshwar to visit the house of one of their relatives. Injured have been admitted at a private hospital in Belagavi.
