As many as 41 passengers heading toward Bengaluru from Mumbai in two private passenger carrier buses were denied entry into state as they did not had COVID RT-PCR negative certificates.

The staff at Koganolli checkpoint near Nippani, border to Maharashtra checked the certificates of passengers from Sharma and National Travels. 56 passengers travelling in these buses.

Cases against bus operators for violating COVID-19 norms have been booked.
