Police Open Fire to Kidnapper of Former Minister Varthur Prakash

Lohit, wanted to Karnataka police in 17 cases including kidnapping the former Karnataka minister Varthur Prakash was pressed a bullet into one of his legs when he attacked allegedly on a police personal who was a yeam member formed to nab him.

The Bengaluru police had formed four teams under the leadership of Halasooru ACP to arrest him. Based on the information that he was at Jeevan Bhimanagar, police tried to round him up, however, he hit a police constable which made a Sub Inspector to open fire to one of his legs below knee.

Police found a hired Innova car with Lohit which he madeaway by attacking its driver at Andra Pradesh and was using the same vehicle. Lohit is also a prime accused in Auto Rickshaw driver Vijayakumar Kidnap case and he went at large after a case of kidnap was filed with Indira nagar police.

He has been treated at the government hospital for bullet injuries to his leg.
