The Public Works Department has filed separate cases with Kakati and APMC police about painting colours to the name boards at Kangrali KH and Alataga villages in Belagavi taluk.

Miscreants had washed the Kannada words written on the cement constructed boards at the entrances of both the village with black and red colours. The department had written message to the vehicular people about road safety.

The department has corrected the board and would write the same message again on the boards. There are no close circuit cameras on the road. Police suspected the role of people hate Kannada language and have started the inquiry.
