The state government which decided to start schools from Std 9 to 12 from Monday, Aug 23, will soon reopen the classes for the children of Class 1 to 8.

Speaking to news persons at Bengaluru on Sunday, Aug 22, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Nagesh said COVID-19 negative report was not needed for the primary children as Covid would not effect on the children. However, the advice of the experts would be followed before reopening the classes as government would not push the lives of children to tisk.

The primary schools would not be reopened at the districts where the positivity rate of the COVID-19 is more than 2%, the minister said.
