Pro, Against Claims on Giving Eggs to School Children

The pro and against protest of issuing eggs to primary school children continued as after Jain organisation had urged the district administration not to give eggs, early this week, Vilmikhi Youth Unit of Karnataka State Scheduled Tribe has urged not to stop giving the eggs.

The office bearers who had arrived the Belagavi Deputy Commissinor office with eggs on Thursday have urged the government not to stop giving the eggs by bowing down to the demand of a few. It may be recalled that a few Lingayat swamijis also put pressure of not to stop the project of giving eggs to the children at mid-day meal at schools.

Speaking on the occasion, organisation state president Mahesh Shigihalli egg should not be given to those who don’t want but mudt be given to others which keep them heathy. Dalit and backward class organisations would agitate statewide if rolled back by project. For a few not a larger number of students suffer injustice.

While, the Vegetarian Citizen’ Association which also gathered on the deputy commissioner offce said the good style at school where an uniformity followed would be of no meaning if discriminated students with food. Basavaprakash swami of Vishwaguru Basavapeeth said CM Basavaraj Bommai should not have taken such a decision. Veerappa Moily, Yeddyurappa and Kumaraswamy governments had took back such a decision. Bommai must take back the order, he said
