The members of bar association of Belagavi have set a massive protest against the Police manhandling an advocate last night.

As reported by the victim advocate Sheetal Ramshetty resident of Shahpur area has been beaten without any reason by the CPI as well the other police whilst he stood talking to his friends in front of his house. He said the police that came from backside didn’t ask anything and just started beating him and his friends and when he asked why is he being beaten they started scolding him in a vulgar manner. He added as the police didn’t stop even when he said he is an advocate and later they just scolded him further and went in their vehicle.

Condemning this oppressive attitude of the police the members of Belagavi Bar Ass. set protest against the police and also blocked the traffic in front of the Court.
