Demanding as the works should be extended for 200 days for the wage laborers under the employment guarantee scheme and 6 month ration should be provided in addition, the leaders and the members of Belagavi Dist rural Wage Laborers organization set protest at the DC Office today and issued memo to the govt. through the DC.

The protesters said the wage workers don’t have works, leading the lie has become hard. As the 100 days works isn’t that sufficient extend it till 200 days. Already 6 months ration has been given which has come to an end and as without work and earning it is difficult to refill the ration so the govt. should help with another 6 months ration.
