With an intention to save the lives of those who meet road and other accidents by sending them to the hospital early, the Rajasthan government has announced a cash reward of Rs 5,000 to such helpers.
The government, soon after the accident victim shift to the hospital will issue certificates to those shifted and later give the cash award.
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said the scheme has been named as “Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha”. He said, people even after seeing people met accident crying for help would not as police consider them as witnesses and make them to take rounds to court for evidence and hearings. To change the mindset of people, the new scheme was launched.
There would neither police nor court inquiry in the new scheme, the CM said and called people to rush to the accident victims without worries.
