Started at the period of BJP govt. in the state, Rani Chennamma University of Belagavi is providing a notable service in the education field since 2009. The BJP govt. has decided not to shift the university to other dist. and to shift it to Hirebagewadi.

The Ex-Rural MLA of Belagavi Sanjay Patil has informed the university will soon be shifted to the Hirebagewadi where the university will continue its service in the 20 acre wide area.

Speaking to the reporters at Banglore he said the news of shifting the university to the Bagalkot is just a rumor. It is true that the university started at the period of BJP govt. led by B S Yadiyurappa in 2009, is facing the deficiency of land, but the shifting of it from the dist. is just a rumor. The good news of the stay of university in the dist has been confirmed by the govt. itself, the 20 acre land has already been allotted to the university within the dist. at Hirebagewadi.

He further assured as the university will stay at the hometown of the great Chennamma and will enlighten the futures along with self growth.
